The Metropolitan Opera
The Metropolitan Opera, the largest classical music organization in the United States, is renowned for its world-class productions, innovative performances, and global reach. As a cornerstone of New York City’s cultural landscape, the Met presents over 200 performances each season.
During my time working at the Met Opera, I contributed to a range of digital and marketing initiatives. This included web design and development that supported both artistic programming and audience engagement, as well as international marketing and promotional design for The Met: Live in HD, which broadcasts performances to cinemas in over 70 countries. My work helped shape the Met’s digital presence and extend its iconic brand across platforms—connecting new and loyal audiences to the power of opera in the modern age.
Website Design & Development
I project managed the design, development, and successful launch of the Metropolitan Opera’s website. Post-launch, I continued to lead web design, with responsibilities spanning content strategy, user experience, and technical oversight. I also managed production content and ticketing pathways for the American Ballet Theatre’s yearly summer residency.
Key duties included managing all site content—text, imagery, audio, and video—designing and updating pages, training CMS users, and ensuring ADA compliance. I tracked analytics to assess user behavior and made data-informed recommendations to improve performance and usability. I also maintained SEO, HTML/XML sitemaps, and metadata, and oversaw CMS and Tessitura upgrades to ensure a seamless purchase path and optimal site functionality.
International Marketing for
The Met: Live in HD
Managed international partnerships and led creative marketing for The Met: Live in HD—the Metropolitan Opera’s award-winning series of live cinema transmissions, broadcast to over 2,200 screens in more than 70 countries. I also contributed to marketing efforts for Met Opera on Demand, the Met’s digital streaming platform.
My role included overseeing the creation of in-theater trailers, managing behind-the-scenes content for social media, and coordinating photography and video coverage of performances. I ensured brand consistency across global campaigns, edited promotional materials in multiple languages, and provided international partners with tailored assets to support localized advertising efforts.
