We’re Getting Maui’d!
Planning our destination wedding on the island of Maui in January 2024 was an absolute joy—and a true creative endeavor. I led the overall creative direction, serving as the graphic designer for many elements of the celebration. I loved crafting a cohesive visual experience that reflected our story and the natural beauty of Hawaii.
Web Design
As anyone who’s planned a destination wedding knows, clear communication is key. Our thoughtfully designed wedding website answered every question guests may ask, from dress code and travel logistics to the timeline of events. It even included a beautifully curated travel guide to Maui, complete with local recommendations, travel tips, and cultural notes.
Our wedding website remains live as a snapshot of the experience, though some interactive features are now inactive since the event has passed.
Graphic Design
I designed all digital and print materials (some are shown in my flat lay photography above) with help from my husband. Our hands-on approach made every detail feel intentional, personal, and unique to us. It was a true reflection of our partnership—not just in marriage, but in creativity.
- Save-the-dates and invitations with a custom map of Maui, and thank you cards post-event
- Bar menu with custom watercolor graphics for each of our drink selections
- Dinner menus highlighting the beauty of the sunset view and the starry night at our venue
- Elegant event signage, including the welcome sign, timeline of events, and table numbers
- Whimsical paper plane seating assignments, each with a personalized message to the guest and their assigned table number
- A postcard guest book complete with individually designed stamps
Podcast Feature
My husband and I were honored to be featured as the first-ever guests of A Dream Wedding Maui’s podcast. In the two episodes, we reflect on our wedding journey and design process, share tips for other couples planning from afar, and offer inspiration for making a destination wedding feel deeply personal.
