Amanda Echalaz
I designed a bespoke website for mezzo-soprano Amanda Echalaz, whose international acclaim began when she represented South Africa at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition. The site’s elegant, operatic-inspired aesthetic—featuring black and white accents with sweeping hero imagery—reflects her commanding stage presence and prestigious engagements at leading opera houses including the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Sydney Opera House.
Web Design
Throughout the project, I focused on seamless navigation and an intuitive user experience, balancing Amanda’s artistic elegance with modern web functionality. The result is a website that honors her distinguished career, engages fans and industry professionals alike, and provides a sophisticated digital platform for an artist of her caliber.
The website’s key features include:
-
Responsive Performance Calendar: A dynamic, easy-to-update schedule showcasing upcoming recitals, festival appearances, and opera roles.
-
Immersive Media Gallery: Curated photo and video sections that highlight Amanda’s signature performances—complete with high-resolution stills, professional headshots, and embedded recital footage.
-
Detailed Biography & Repertoire: An interactive “About” page that traces her artistic journey from South African stages to international theaters.
-
Press & Reviews Section: A dedicated area for press clippings, critical acclaim, and interview excerpts, designed with clean typography and pull-quote styling for readability.
-
Booking & Contact: A streamlined contact form for agents and presenters, ensuring easy access for promotion and engagement.
